The 65-inch Sony Bravia 3 II is down to $848 from $899 on Amazon, and price trackers show it’s the lowest price the TV has hit so far. The 43-, 50-, 55-, 75-, 85-, and 100-inch versions of the Bravia 3 II are on sale as well, but the 65-inch model is the one I would start with for a typical living room—one of its strengths is how well it handles everyday content, since Sony’s processing does a good job cleaning up lower-quality streams, older shows, and compressed cable feeds. Sports content also benefits from its motion handling, and the wide viewing angle makes it easier for everyone on a sectional or spread-out couch to get a decent picture without having to sit directly in front of the screen.

It’s also more flexible than you might expect for a mid-range TV when it comes to gaming and connected devices. You get four HDMI ports that support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, and the TV can handle 4K at 120Hz, so you can keep a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and gaming PC connected without constantly swapping cables. I would not, however, choose it specifically as a gaming TV, because 60Hz content can still look blurrier in motion than it does on faster panels. For everyday use, though, the screen does a good job cutting down reflections in a moderately bright room, while Dolby Vision support gives you broader HDR compatibility across streaming services and physical media.
But that strength in brighter, everyday viewing doesn’t carry over as well once the room gets dark. The 65-inch model uses an IPS panel with no local dimming, so black scenes can look more gray than truly black, and HDR highlights don’t have the same impact as on stronger Mini LED TVs. That makes it a tougher recommendation for someone building a home theater setup, especially when models like the TCL QM6K or Hisense U7SG can deliver better contrast for around the same money.
