The Roborock Saros 10R is on sale for $899.99, down from $1,599.99—and price-trackers show this is its lowest price so far. It is still a major purchase, but part of what you are paying for is the amount of upkeep it handles on its own. After each cleaning run, it returns to the dock to empty its dustbin, refill its water tank, and wash and dry the mop pads. You will still need to replace the dust bags, refill the dock’s tanks, and clean the brushes from time to time, but there is less to deal with between runs.

It is especially useful in homes where low furniture and everyday clutter tend to cause problems for robot vacuums—instead of using the raised navigation tower found on many competing models, Roborock built the sensors into the body. That keeps the vacuum just over three inches tall, allowing it to clean beneath beds, sofas, and cabinets that taller robots may not reach. It can also work around toys, cords, and other objects without constantly getting stuck or losing track of where it has already cleaned. It is similarly capable when moving between rooms, lifting its wheels to cross raised thresholds and changes in flooring, while an extending side brush and mop pad help it clean closer to walls and into corners.

That mobility helps the Saros 10R cover more of the floor, but its cleaning performance varies by surface. The mopping system handles fresh spills, footprints, and light marks well, though older, dried-on stains may still need to be scrubbed by hand. Vacuuming is also less consistent. As noted in our review, it picks up crumbs and other debris well from hard floors, but fine dust can remain along carpet edges and in corners. Pet hair embedded in carpet may also require several passes.
