The JBL Tour One M3 Smart Tx headphones are still on sale for an excellent price: They list for $449, but you can pick them up on Amazon for $179.99 after the October Prime Day sale. That’s 60% off for a pair of my personal favorite over-ear headphones. You can read my own testimonial here or read our full review.
These headphones are designed for travel, so they pack up into a tight space, and the sound quality is excellent. Before I got these, I usually took flights with cheap earbuds. Never again. Even long flights are almost enjoyable when you can cancel the sound of the engine.
They come with a Smart Tx Audio Transmitter, a separate module that acts as a universal audio bridge. It plugs into 3.5mm headphone jacks and other audio sources and improves the sound quality, wirelessly beaming audio from anywhere—airplane in-flight entertainment systems, that jack on the stair machine at the gym, older TVs, PCs, etc.—right to your headphones. It’s also a wireless, touchscreen remote control. Very, very slick—especially at 60% off.
