Working outside has become one of my favorite spring and summer activities, but my devices punk out around 1 p.m. on power. Lugging a heavy power station to the picnic table is a drag, so I was thrilled when Anker sent me the C200 last year. This plucky little station is small—only eight inches tall or so—and it comes with a soft handle. It’s like toting a purse around, but with power. At four pounds, you can even throw it in your bag, and it’s $109.99 right now during Prime Day (down from $169.99).

But there are some additional benefits to the C200. You don’t have to lug a cord around. You can fast charge it in about 70 minutes using the 140W power port, but you don’t have to. It powers via USB-C, too, which we all have lying around the house. But, you could also power it up via solar, so if you go camping, its not a finite resource. And finally, it has a car power port, so you can keep it in the car, ready to go.

It’s not a lot of power, just 192Wh, about 200W output. But that’s enough for laptops, phones, tablets, medical devices- all the things you might need powered while out and about.

You can manage this device from the Anker Solix app, which is surprisingly useful. By setting times and priorities for the connected devices, you can make the power last longer. It will also tell you when the C200 will be done topping up.

The output is just USB-C, too, but it’s a fast-charging, two-way USB. I keep this unit near the front door, because I find I often grab it to have in the garden when I’m outside. I can charge tools, my phone, or small speakers. It goes camping with me, and remains on the picnic table all day for people to use. It’s a great power station to have on hand, and for $100, the price is right.
